Prior to joining Indiano & McConnell, Bruce was practicing at his firm Bowman & Associates for 12 years where he prepared and prosecuted patent and trademark applications for a diverse range of corporate and private clients. Before forming Bowman & Associates, Bruce was a partner at the Indianapolis intellectual property law firm of then-named Maginot, Moore & Bowman where he prepared and prosecuted electrical and mechanical patent applications, conducted IP due diligence assessments and wrote legal opinions on patentability, validity and freedom to operate.
Bruce was previously patent counsel at Thomson Consumer Electronics where he provided expertise for world-wide intellectual property transactions such as licensing, research and consulting collaborations, confidentiality agreements and defense of patent rights.
Prior to becoming corporate in-house patent counsel, Bruce was an associate at the general practice law firms of Herzog, Crebs & McGhee in St. Louis, Missouri, and the IP-specialty law firm of Jeffers, Hoffman & Niewyk, Fort Wayne, Indiana (later merging with Baker & Daniels).
Bruce brings to the firm expertise in private and corporate settings along with legal skills to ensure clients receive the tactical and strategic intellectual property services necessary to protect their intellectual property.
